Spices for dental care
Yawn, not another boring ‘dental care’ post! If this is what you are thinking, let’s spice up this post as well as your day!
- Mint: Chew on a few mint leaves after you have had a rich and spicy meal. Thus, mint leaves are a must after you have eaten at an Indian restaurant!
- Extract from the ‘Toothbrush tree’: Yes, there is a tree with that name! The scientific name of the tree is Salvadore Persica. Known as Meswak, the extract from the ‘Toothbrush tree’ is popular in India as a dental herb. The herb is said to fight plaque and prevent gum diseases.
- Cloves: Clove oil is known to provide relief from toothache. If you do not have clove oil available, chew on a couple of cloves with the tooth that’s aching. Doing this will provide some relief.
- Parsley: Chewing on parsley is an excellent way to get rid of bad breath immediately. Add a few drops of parsley oil to water and use the mixture to rinse your mouth. This will freshen up your breath.
On that spicy note, it’s time to bid you bye to come back with another post tomorrow.
Oh yes, while there is no harm using dental care remedies derived from the nature, do not miss seeing your dentist regularly.
Happy smiling!
